Our Story

Yolanda Sanchez founded Round Rock Ballet Folklórico in 1988, to offer everyone an opportunity to learn and grow through dance. She has been an educator for over 35 years and an instrumental influence in developing cultural programs throughout the city.

By believing strongly in what she does, Yolanda has been able to provide many dancers the opportunity to give back to their community and express themselves through dance.

Over the past twenty years, there has been tremendous growth in the Round Rock Ballet Folklórico group with more participants registering every year. To date, over one hundred dancers have been coming to classes, and Yolanda teaches more than just the steps to the dance.

Each student who participates walks away with a different perspective about Mexican Heritage and the different cultures that have influenced Mexico for generations. The dancers of Round Rock Ballet Folklórico come from the many different ethnicities and cultures that make up our community.

We open our doors to anyone who is interested in learning and furthering their knowledge of the dance and culture of Mexico.
