The Round Rock Ballet Folklórico was founded by Yolanda Sanchez in 1988. Yolanda Sanchez has been an educator for over 20 years and has been an instrumental influence in the development of many programs throughout the city. She founded the organization to offer everyone an opportunity that she wasn't provided with when growing up. By strongly believing in what she does, she has been able to provide many dancers an opportunity to give back to their community through expressing themselves through dance. Over the past twenty years, there has been a tremendous growth in the dance group with participants signing up to register year after year. To date, 100+ dancers have been coming to the RRBF's dance classes to learn more than just dance. Each student who participates walks away with a different perspective about the Mexican Heritage and the different culture's that have influenced Mexico for many generations. The RRBF dancers are made up of different ethnicities which make up the various culture's in our community. The RRBF opens its doors to anyone who is interested in learning and furthering their knowledge with cultural.
